We found Greater Wyoming Federal Credit Union one of those incredible small financial institutions that provide high-quality service to its 2,000 members. What we loved most about this credit union was the fact that you would be hard-pressed to find any negative comments on most of the major review sites which include Google, Yelp, Facebook, and even the Yellow Pages. I encourage prospective members who are eligible from the Casper, WY area to take the time and read the reviews, you will not be disappointed. However to determine how we felt about the GWFCU we needed to look at reviews, services offered as well as their commitment to their membership and the communities they serve.


Greater Wyoming Federal Credit Union currently has close to $22.5 million in assets, one branch, and just over 2,000 members. ibanknet. Additionally, they have a history of providing services to their members since the Credit Union's founding in 1953 as the WESC Federal Credit Union.

When we reviewed this credit union we were happy to see so many positive responses. Specifically, when looking at Google reviews, for example, many customers highlighted the great rates they receive from GWFCU as well as the great personalized service from staff. We also liked that the credit union took the time to respond to positive as well as negative reviews. This is critically important in customer relations, taking the time to engage members as much as possible, even when members are not happy. The Greater Wyoming FCU - Little Sprouts account is ideal for members ages 0-12 and requires a minimum balance of $5.00. The Growin Green share savings account is for teens ages 13 and up, it also requires a minimum balance of $5. Debit Cards are available for the Growin Green accounts.

Gap Insurance


We found this interesting GWFCU offers GAP insurance that provides coverage if your vehicle is totaled and you still owe money on the loan. The insurance provides you $1,000 toward your next loan financed with Greater Wyoming Federal CU after the accident. And a new addition to this product is Auto Deductible Reimbursement which will reimburse your deductible (up to $500) 2x a year for the first 2 years of the loan if you are in an accident that doesn’t total your vehicle. You can finance this product with your loan or you can purchase this product after your manufacturer's warranty runs out.
